Create a custom object from excel spreadsheet automatically?

We all know that teams still love excel spreadsheets and we would like them to move this information to the CRM but did you realize that with Salesforce Lightning this is now fast & easy?

Take their spreadsheets and build a object to store it with a few clicks?

There are a couple of apps that will do this for you on the appexchange but now within the Objects menu option it is inbuilt.

  1. Go to Setup | Object Manager | Select Custom Object from Spreadsheet at the top of the list.
  2. Upload spreadsheets from Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or comma-separated value (CSV) files.
  3. After uploading the spreadsheet, Salesforce will automatically detect the fields. …
  4. Define object properties and click on Finish button.
